Heat is Here

I am writing this in the moments I have before leaving for my 6:30 am yoga class. I usually write my blog post the day before, but yesterday was something else!

After running around town getting some errands done in the super heat (felt like 47 degrees celcius!), we were all spent- completely! And after resting for a bit (aka cold beers and watching Mad Men), when I went to write my blog, my laptop was dead.

So I blame the dead laptop and the disgusting heat for my laziness. Of course, I did not attempt to find another device to write on. But put it for for this early morning.

Today is going to be another super hot day. My hope is I won’t be sweaty by the time I walk to the yoga studio. Because starting to do yoga when already sweaty results in more heat and sweat, and slippery hands. And then, suddenly, yoga is very hard to do! It may just be a day for multiple showers the way it’s looking right now. Atleast my gym is air conditioned so working out there won’t suck!

After the super long and drawn out winter and spring, I had promised myself I won’t be complaining this summer. Coz really, we should only be allowed to complain about one season, not all of them, right? But it also seemed impossible in those super cold days, and never arriving heat, that it would get this hot and humid EVER! I know it was naive to think like that, but seriously, I had given up hope, and imagination of what summer in Toronto would feel like.

Here we are. I have the thinnest tank top I own on. I have lots of water. And I plan to walk slowly so I don’t heat up. Wish me luck!

And now that I have to actually leave for my class, I have to stop now. See you tomorrow!
