A Painful Turn

Aagh…life takes a slight turn. I thought I was going so well on my path after overcoming yesterday morning’s hurdle of wanting to stay in bed longer.

But last night I was in SO MUCH PAIN that today I knew I would be sleeping in for a bit, missing my yoga class, and attending to my agony by going to a doctor.

It’s my left ear…I have an ear infection that decided to take a very painful turn yesterday afternoon and evening. I knew it was there for a few days because I could feel the discharge in my ear, and fuzziness of sound. But I thought it would just clear up in time without much more drama.

But of course, it didn’t. I couldn’t stop my tears at times from the pain. Going to bed in that condition was not possible, which means a pain killer had to be put to use.

Now that I have seen a doctor and gotten some antibiotic ear drops, I am on the mend, hopefully. The days of having white noise in my left ear is also, hopefully, at an end.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a painful ear before…I certainly don’t recommend it! An organ I never had to pay much attention to before certainly made itself felt yesterday…

After my morning adventure of a walk-in clinic, and resolution in progress, I am hoping the rest of my day will proceed in expected ways. An upper body gym session, some painting, and dinner making are big on the agenda today- the usual stuff…And a breakfast date with my husband- our Wednesday treat 🙂

I plan to make my yoga class tomorrow morning, and yes, sleeping in was lovely this morning.
