This is going to be the last post for me for 2024. I am totally going to enjoy the holidays with my family and friends, eat treats, and not do any “work” 🙂
So today I just wanted to tell you that I have been working on my planner for 2025. I mentioned it in this post and this one. I am DIYing it, and saving myself some $$$ (hello Hobonichi Cousin!) and making it exactly how I want it.
A monthly-weekly-time block planner that’s all mine 🙂
I started making my monthly and weekly spreads as I think I would use them best. It’s been fun, but I have to say it is a lot of work!
12 months and 52 weeks worth or spreads takes time to make! But I am treating it as a mundane low key time that I can put on a nice podcast or audiobook to, and get to work.
With stuff slowing down around me I have more time on my hands, and making a month’s worth of spreads (along with all it’s weeks) is not too tiring, now that I know the exact measurements and things I need to write on each page.
I love that besides my time (which IS precious), this planner with cost me NOTHING! Because I had the notebook on my hands already, and the pens and stencil to make squares as well.
So this is a frugality win for me to end the Blogging Year…Using up resources I already have, with the time that I may just spend on social media- put those two together, along with a dose of an interesting podcast, and voila!
I can’t wait to start using it. But maybe I can wait. Because right now, I am feeling the opposite of productive. I am feeling lazy, and productivity will have to wait till I am rested and ready. The magic of New Years Day is that it’s a big kick in the pants for us to wake up from our haze of being gluttons, both with food and with our time, and get to some good old fashioned work. With zest, with motivation, with renewed energy.
In the meantime, I will be productive with making one monthly spread in my planner at a time.
And super-productive with RESTING!
See you next year 🙂
